Research on making ring spinning machine aprons has been carried out using natural rubber RSS (Ribbed Smoked Sheet) and synthetic rubber NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) as raw materials, silica as a filler and other chemicals, namely parafinic oil, ZnO, stearate. acids, TMTD, DPG, cumaron resins, TMQ, titanium, color pigments and sulfur. The aim of this research was to obtain the best rubber compound formula in making ring spinning machine aprons by varying the amount of raw material for natural rubber, RSS and synthetic NBR 100 phr and 70 phr and silica filler material 80 phr, 70 phr and 60 phr, in order to obtain 6 kinds of rubber compound. The six kinds of rubber compounds were vulcanized and then carried out physical tests in the form of hardness, breaking stress, elongation at break, tensile stress, tear resistance and abrasion resistance. The best results and meet the quality standards of the apron on the market are obtained from rubber compounds using natural rubber RSS 70 phr and synthetic rubber NBR 30 phr, silica filler 80 phr with a hardness value of 84 shore A, breaking stress 174 kg/ cm2, adding at breaking 420%, tensile stress 143 kg/ cm2, tear resistance 141 kg/ cm2, abrasion resistance 210 DIN, mm3.
