The challenge of academic libraries in the technology age

Abstract

This paper presents a strategy to recognize the challenges of academic librarians in carrying out their role as supporters of the tridhrama of higher education. Academic librarians specifically have the main task of supporting the college curriculum and supporting research at the university. This paper was written based on a literature study by taking related articles as the primary source. The result of the study of this literature study is that academic librarians are required to identify themselves as academic librarians. In addition, academic librarians are required to have the competence and ability to adapt to technological developments and carry out their duties as agents in disseminating information and assistants in research.
