This study aims to identify differences in learning outcomes of seventh-grade English students at SMP Negeri 41 Bandung in the academic year 2021/2022 in distance learning between students who use open educational resources portal and those who use a textbook. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 41 Bandung, which is located at Jl. Arjuna No. 18 Andir District, Bandung City, West Java Province, with the research population being all seventh-grade students for the 2021/2022 academic year totaling 334 students with a sample of 61 students. The research methodology uses a quasi-experimental design with a pretest and posttest control group design. Testing the hypothesis uses the independent sample t-test after getting the normality test and homogeneity tests of variance. The results of the independent sample t-test obtained a significance (2-tailed) of 0.039. Because the significance value is smaller than α (α = 0.05), it can be interpreted that there is a significant difference in English learning outcomes between students who use the open educational resources portal compared to students who use a textbook in distance learning. This study concludes that grade VII students of SMP Negeri 41 Bandung in the 2021/2022 academic year who are registered and take distance learning using OER have better learning outcomes than textbooks.
