Halal tourism in West Sumatra is a necessity, not only having stunning natural resources but also being supported by Islamic values that have been attached to the Minangkabau cultural identity "Basandi Syara', Syara' Basandi Kitabullah which reflects the attitude of the Minang people in their daily life full of with the rules of Islamic teachings and religious values. The results showed that first, the potential for halal tourism in West Sumatra in terms of religion, socio-culture, natural potential and stakeholders are very supportive for the development of halal tourism. Second, the behavior that hinders the development of the 4P tourism community (pakuak, palak, Pangang and thugs) in West Sumatra still occurs a lot in the midst of tourism activities. Third, the Islamic Behavior Improvement (IBI) Tourism Model for the tourism community, tourists and stakeholders of halal tourism in West Sumatra based on the results of the development has been tested in terms of product validity. The level of validity of the Islamic Behavior Improvement (IBI) Tourism Model book from the aspects of language, graphics and content feasibility is categorized as valid.
