The implementation of teacher duties is considered as an important factor in determining the quality of education. From the results of the preliminary study, it was found that the implementation of teacher duties at the Padang City Junior High School was not running properly. This condition is thought to be influenced by several factors, but the ones that are considered more dominant are academic supervision and class management skills. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate the contribution of academic supervision and classroom management abilities to the implementation of teacher assignments. The objectives of this study were 1) the contribution of academic supervision to the implementation of gru assignments at SMP Negeri Padang City, 2) the contribution of class management skills to the implementation of the duties of the Padang City Junior High School teachers, 3) the contribution of academic supervision and the ability of class management to the implementation of the duties of the teachers of SMP Negeri Padang City . This research was conducted using quantitative method techniques with a correlational approach. The study population was 145 teachers of the Padang City Junior High School. A sample of 66 people were selected through the stratified proportional random sampling technique. Research analysis of the Likert scale model that has been tested for validity and reliability. This data was analyzed statistically using correlation and regression techniques using the SPSS Version 20 program. The results of data analysis showed that academic supervision contributed to the implementation of the duties of the Padang City Junior High School teachers by 16.0%, the ability of class management contributed to the class management abilities of Padang City by 11 , 2%. Academic supervision through class management skills contributed to the implementation of teacher assignments by 25.5%.
